A local grain dealer (says our Palnie'rston correspondent) states tliat thowheat market is easing owing to the prospect of sout'horn crops being heavier than was anticipated. He states that .a. southern firm' reports that tlio hea\ lcr vicld will bo sufficient to counterbalance the 20,000-acre deficiency. A good outlook exists equally at llasterton, Blenheim, Hawko's Bay, Manawatu, and Rangitikei, and chaff promises to bo plentiful. . . . The highest shearing tally recorded m this district during the. present season was that registered .at Mr. M. M. !Morrison's Kaiangaroa station, when two men each shore 225 sheep in a' working day of eight hours.
