A DANUBE TRAGEDY.
WHAT A BASKET CONTAINED. By Telegraph—Pros Association—GispyrlghS (Ike. January 18, 0.4.0 a.m.) Budapest, Jan-nary 12. An elegant travelling basket, containing the body of a beautiful woman, lias been Hashed up on the river bank at Budapest. Tho indications suggested that she was eitluft- poisoned, or suffocated by a gag. A chauffeur identified tho body as that of a lady whom he had rlriven oh Friday evening to. a house which ho 'was now unable to identify.
Early in Saturday a. market woman saw a mail and woman in the street dragging a heavy travelling basket towards the Danube. The footsteps of a man and woman were discovered near where the basket was found.
Tho victim is supposed to bo an actress. The police are seeking an actor who travelled from Germany to Buda-
