KIKUYU CONTROVERSY.
NOW SUBSIDING. By Telegraph—Press Association—CooyrH'M ■'Times"—Sydney "Sun" Special Cables. London, January 9. The Kikuyu controversy is_ subsiding. The Bishop of Uganda afTtho Evangelical Conference stated that outside Uganda there was an enormous heathen population, which was, in the balance, cither inclined to Mohammedanism or Christianity. At present it was tending towards Christianity. The predominating need of Christians of all denominations was to supply the motive power of prayer.
