The Suffragette movement has produced a new absurdity in the London streets in the shape of the cat-call ''Miauw," which started from the fact that detectives whose special duty it is to arrest Suffragettes who have broken their • licence under tho "Cat and Mouse" Act are known as "cats." A correspondent of the "Daily Mail," who states that ho is "built on a largo Bcalo," complains that two women caterwauled at him continuously at the Town Hall a.t Canning Town recently when Miss Sylvia Pankhurst was addressing her supporters. "You are a 'cat-,' a Scotland Yard man," said one of them, "Miauw, miauw," and when lie explained that lie was not she said that nis size had misled her. THE WONDER STORY OF THE COMPLEXION.
