One class of tcachcrs is to assemble at Wellington on January 17, and thirty women teachers will assemble for instruction at Petono during tho same fortnight. A class of two hundred teachers is to open- at Hastings- on' January 26/ When it has ran its cottrso the instruction'of teachers in Hawko's Bay will have, been practically completed. Still another class will open at Hawera on February 2. - In some cases tho male teachers will-camp'under canvas during tho period of instruction The Department is not confining its attention solely to the Stato schools. In Auckland, for instance, a number of Roman Catholic nuns who act as teachers in. their denominational, schools have applied, for. instruction-in the. new physical education syllabus.
