There are- indications of an early settlement of the theatre musicians' trouble by the granting of their demauds. Several Melbourne proprietors have conceded tho demand for . payment of 10s. for every performance, including matinees. DISPUTE SETTLED. (E«c. January S, 9.30 p.m.) Sydney, January 8. Tho dispute between tho Musicians' Jjilioi! and the picture show proprietors has been settled, and the musicians are resuming duty. The federated unions will agreo to the terms,of tho Now South Wales award applying to the whole of Australia »nd Tasmania—£3 a week and no free matinees.
