BRITAIN'S NAVY SHIPS. • (Rec. January 8, 10.25 p.m.) Lendon, January 8, Mr. C. E. Hobhouso (Liberal), speaking to his constituents at Bristol, said that Britain's financial and moral needs wore so urgent that she could not begin too soon to reduce her expenditure, on armaments. The people were entitled to count upon tho improve 3 feelings between Britain and Germany. Besides, he continued, Gormany bad accepted our ratio of fifteen ships to ten. The recent outburst on the matter of naval expenditure was probably due, said Mr. Hobhouse-, to Britain creating greater ships. If tho size were reduced, other nations would follow. .
