The Bishop of Uganda was in the chair, and the Bishop of Mombassa was also 1 present. The Universities' Mission to i Central Africa, refused to send a representative. The gathering resolved upon the formation of a Federation ef Mis- . sionnry Societies, and- that "the basis of il federation shall consist in the loyal «e----ceptance of the Apostles' and Nicene [.
