BCRXSIDB MARKET. Dunedin, January 7. At Burn'ide- to-day, 133 fat cattle wero yarded, the bnlk of the entry consisting of lisht and medium-weight stocrj, cows and heifers. Owiuc to the small supply there was a very keen domand, and prices on the average- were about 10s. per head above laet week' 3 ratc3. Kcct bullocks, £14 to £16;' medium weight, £12 to £13; lisrht, £9 Ids. to £11; hcavy-weiffht cows, £11 to £14; medium. £9 to £10; liglit and inferior. £6 to £8 Its. The yarding of fat shcop comprhed 1300. incltidine a fair vumber of prime wothors, whilo tho balance-con-sisted of medium-quality wethers and ewes. Butchers wero bare of stocks, and in consequence the fa!o commenced brifkly nt an advance of 2j. cor head ever la«t week's rates, but toward 6 the end the demand -was -weaker, the sale closins with orkes about the same as those rulins last week.
