RECONSTRUCTION , PROPOSALS. The proposal to reconstitute the University of Mew Zealand will bo asain considered by the Senate of the University at a general meeting to he licid on January 17, in Dunedin. It. is understood tiiut the matter lias been considcrerl by a committee, of the Hciirdo tlirou(jlw)ut: the year, and , that the final recommendation will bo made !o the Senate in the form of a X3 lll to be placed beforo Parliament next sosfiion, if adopted by the Senate. Sir Robert Stout, Chancellor of tho • University, leaves Wellington on Friday for Tnvweargill, and lie will return to Dunedin on January IC, to attend the meeting of the Senate, and he will ho took in Wellington about Feoraury 2. Mr, B. Hentor, Registrar of the University, leaves 'for Dimedin on Tuesday next. ■ The Commerce results. will bo'dealt with by a committee of tho Sennit on the first day of the mooting, and it is expected that the results will be Known about Monday week. : ..
