Tho skirt opened, over panels of beautiful la'ce, and tho samo kind of lace draped the bodice, tho transparent, pointed yoko being faintly, outlined with dianianto trimming,, am! tho long transparent sleeves eliding iii tulle frills. v'J.'hc' long tulle veil'was worn with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white earnations and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids wero Miss Gissie Kirker (niece of the bride, from Auckland), and fiiss.Gwenneth Loekio (another niece), and, both wore very pretty frwfc of white crepe de chine, trimmed with lace, and wi,th deep sivathcd sa'shc.i of pale apricot ninon round the waist. Their wide-brimmed white hats wero trimmed with .apricot tulle, ending in an outstanding choii at the back of tho crown, and they'carried bouquets of .shaded roses.' The bride's present from tho bridegroom was a pearl pendant, and to the bridesmaids were given pearl peiidants also. The bridegroom's present from the bride was a set of goid sleeve links. A reception was afterwards hold at the residence of the bride's-parents. Miss Lockie, who,.with Mr. Lpckie, received the guests in the entrance. hail, wore a gown of grey crepe do eiiirie, and a large grey hat,.with grej' ostrich feathers shading into tones of.rose. Mrs, Gray, who had come over from Chi-Foo (North China) to attend the wedding, ivore a gown of palo blue crone de thine', and a largo hat wreathed with shaded roses. Jlrs. Harold Brown (sister of the bride) wore white, embroidered muslin, and a black hat with a red rose. Mrs. Stewart, another sister of the bride, was also in a white embroidered gowi?, and black hat with a floral crown. Palo [link siveet peas decorated all the rooms at "Kirkbohm," and-in .the morning room, whore the presents wore to fie seen, were most lovely carnations, pale pink, dark red, and scarlet striped with yellow. Tho dining room, in which the guests wore entertained at- afternoon tea, was beautifully arranged with palo pink sweet peas and. maidenhair fern, and pale pink shades were placed over the lights. The toast of, the bride and bridegroom was proposed by the .ftov. James l'atersoiij.wlio spoke feelingly of his friendship for the family, and of the way in which the bride would be missed . by "her many friends... It- was responded to by the bridegroom in a brief and very appreciative, speech. Later Jlr. and Mrs. -Indcr left on their wedding journey, the latter travelling in a light brown cjolii>llllo coat and skirt; and a small whit?, hat. trimmed with ruchings of tulle and clusters of pale blue llpwera-at the side.
