It had n good hold when discovered. Boxes containing the racehorses quartered there were, padlocked, but tlic doors were. , burnt open and tho hofscs got out as quickly as. possible. ■ It was then found that I'hroso (Sir Tristram —Zarobia), a vainnble hurdle lijiiro owned by Mr, G. F. Moore, of Kai Ivri, was incinerated. ■ When tho door of tho box containing ■Lady. Menseliikoff ■ (Jlenscliikofi —Sist-cv Francis) was burst open the niare, mad with pain and terror and quits blind, galloped round the yard paddock, with niano and tail blazing and tlip cover en her back burning lierccly. When sho was caught and an attempt made to 'remove the burning coyer the skin came away with it. Tho animal was in great 'agony.■■ Dr." Ring, veterinary surgeon, ordered her to bo sliot.
