Knight of the Garter. ■ They tell a harrowing tale of their privations on Easter Island, which was reached after 12 day 3' buffeting in a terrific gale. Tho provisions and water ivero exlnvusod, and, they ato berries and grass until they were discovered by some natives, who treated them kindly. After fivo months on the island, they wero picked up by tho Knight of the Garter, which had. put in owing to a damaged rudder. They might have waited for two years on the island, as a steamer rarely calls at that lonely spot. ■ > '
