A Tlio Bight Hon. W. P. Massey's condition had very much improved yesterday, nut it will be some timo beforo ho will be able to leave liis house yet. It'is-still, his intention to leave for Auckland as soon as his medical man, Dr. Collins, will permit him to travel. Tho Hoii. J. Allen, who was expected to arrive iii Wellington this week-end, and possibly go on to Auckland and Rotorua, will not be in Wellington for - ten days.. He has been advised by his mcdical adviser in Dunedin to ■ take the additional term of rest to recuperate his health., and ho will do so. Mr. -Allen's name appeared yesterday in tho list of those who had booked passages by tlio Uhmaroa from Wellington for Sydney on Saturday, but this is evidently incorrect. . The Hon. A. L. Bcrdmnii and tho Hon, W. Fraser are expected to return to Wellington, to-morrow. Nothing new is announced concerning movements of other Ministers. Sir William Lover sails from Wellington in Jiis company's ship, tho KaulanW bangra, at 5 p.m. to-day, "I like your country,' ho said yesterday to a Dominion reporter. Mr. Denham) has left Australia on a trip to England. Sir. Selhy Morton, secretary of tho Wanganui Agricultural and' Pastoral Association, who Was taken suddenly and seriously ill a few days ago, has, says our Wanganui correspondent, slightly improved, but his condition causes great anxiety to his friends. Mr. and Mrs. D. M'Kenzie, of America, who are. making an exteiisivo motor tour of Australia awl New Zealand., arrived at lilulE by tho IJlimaroa oil Bunday. Accompanying them are their three children and a nurso. Tho party are carrying out- theiv trip in a sixcylinder 9a-li.p. Thomas I'lyer motorcar, which may be considered ti;'j most powerful in tho Dominion at 1 tho pre.sent time. Dean Harper, who left on a trip to England early in tho year, has returned to Christcirareh, It is considered in Christohurcli Presbyterian circles that it is highly probablo that the Rev. T. Tait, of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, will accept tiio call ■ ho' has received to Chalmers Church, Adelaide. Mr, George Bailay died at Helcnsvillc oil Tuesday. arrived in Now Zealand iu 1863, and was for some. years associated with goklfields newspaper enterprises. Ho was editor for some years of tho "Tuapeka Times"'in Otago. Three daughters survive tltim—Mrs, 11, B. M'Kay (litvercargi'H), Mrs. R, M. Came*son (Holonsvillo), and Mrs. W. Cower (Wellington).
