Hall against the decision of tho Avondale Jockey Club that J. Hill was the breeder of C'astalia. Hall .purchased Lriv ltoo served by Marble Arch, tho filly Or;taiia being the result. Tho youngster won the.Avondalo Stakes, one of the. conditions of which was that the broewcr of tho winner should receive 23 sovs. Ilill, who owned Erry Roe at tinio of mating, claimed this, holding that as lie was responsible for tho mating lie was tno breeder. Hall also claimed the amount; on the ground that the owner at the time of foaling was the breeder. A meeting of the District Coinmittee of tho Dunedin Jockey Club was held tonight to consider the appeal ladged against tho decision of the stewards of the Dunedin J.C. to disqualify Osenhope,- and tho owner, trainer, and the jockey for two years, on- the ground that the horse had been pulled in the Federal Handicap last Friday. It was decided to uphold the action of the stewards, t-ho question not being subject to appeal.
