The latest message from tho Tasman states that tljsro is 13 feet of water, not 23 feet, in tho holds. A' wireless message received from tho commander of the Tasman says: "Jnaiio Mara, Japanese steamer, goiiig to-day. Expecting ship to como off. Ship pas-! senders perfectly .safe." VESSEL REFLOATED. (Rec. December 30, 9,55 p.m.) A wireless message has been received stating that tlio steamer Tasman Ims been refloated, and that tho pumps are able io keep the water down. Tho steamer will probably proceed to Thursday Island. MAROONED SAILORS RESCUED. A CALL AT EASTER ISLAND. (Rec. December 30, 9.55 p.m.) Sydney, December 30. Advices from Norfolk Isla.nd state that tho steamer Knight of the Garter, which has arrived, called at Easter Island and resetted eight of tho marooned crew of the American schooner El Dorado, which M'as abandoned in June last in a- sinking condition. The Captain and two of tho crew left ! tho island in a Ufa-boat two months previously for Tahiti, but have not since been heard of.
