WELLINGTON CLUB TOURNAMENT.

Tho final for tho Wellington provincial amateur golf championship, played "at tho Wellington Golf Club's tournament, was played off between Duncan and Park and "resulted in an easy win for Duncan with 8 up and 7 to play.

Of the nine players in the professional match eight finished, Blair withdrawing in the second round. The scores for the four rounds were as follow:—J. A. Clements (Christchureh), 302: W. Jl'Ewan (Masterton), 315; W. lies (Christchurch), 313; R. C. Butters (Dunedin), 312; J. Watt (Wellington), 319; E. S. Douglas (Wellington), 312; W. B. Simpson (Wellington), 324; D. Hood (Cliristchurcli), 327.

Clements, the winner, was only one stroko above the record in the fourth round.

The mixed foursome played during the afternoon was won by Miss Ward and R. Callender with 1 up.

After the tournament, Mr. A. E. Whyte. tho captain, congratulated the winners, and Mrs. Whyte presented tho prizes. Cheers were then heartily given for the captain and the secretary (Mr. A. MacShano) whose efforts largely assisted in making the tournament a success.
