At the quarterly meeting of the Loyal Mastcrton Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U.,the following officers wore elected: —N.G., Bro. Whito; U.G., Bro. A. P. Smith; E.S., Bro. C. Jellie; G., Bro. W. V. Lawton; W., Bro. G. Forman; auditors, Bros. W. C. Perry and 11. Evans. P.G. Bro. J. Winswill was nominated for membersliip on tho Management Committee at tho district meeting. Tho Mayor of Mastcrton (Mr. J. M. Coradinc) left on"Wcdi'.esday with Mrs. Coradiiie on a visit to the South Island. A number of Territorials were fined by Mr. Keid, S.M., on Tuesday, for failing to render, tho service required of . them under the Defence Act. it is not expected that shearing will bo completed on Wairarapa stations until tho end of January^ Tho Wairarapa Kgg Circlo has accepted a contract for the supply of 3000 dozen preserved eggs to a Wellington firm. The Masterton Borough Council'has decided to give n civic reception to tho American athletes when they visit this town for tho Now Years Day sports.
