NEW CHEESE COMPANY.
FOR MANGATAINOKA BLOCK. A meeting of settlers in tho recentlyopened Maugatainoka ISlock was held on Wednesday, to discuss the advisability of establishing a co-operative cheese company in that district. Mr. T. Mason presided. Mr. F. Wise, of likctahuna, who was present by invitation, explained tho working and methods-of cooperative dairy companies. . After tho matter had b'eon discussed tho following resolution was passed: "That a checso company.bo established on co-operativo lines, and that tho erection'of a. factory bo proceeded' with at once." It was decided to na'mo' tho new company the Mangahao Co-operative Checso Company, Limited. Tho following wero elected provisional directors:—Messrs. Mason, Vatcs, Hunter, Broad, Bryant, Gicldings, and Ross. Sufficient shares were'taken up during the day to allow the directors to proceed at once with tho allotment. Mr. Wise, who is carrying out tho secretarial duties, was given a frco baud to push the work forward. It is anticipated that the factory will bo erected and in full working order within seven weeks.
