: 0 MR. MYERS AT COLONIAL INSTITUTE. By TsloErraph—Press Association—OoDTrlcht London, December 22. Tho Agents-General entertained Mr. A. 31. Myers, ex-Minister of Defence in Now Zealand, at luncheon at tho Colonial Institute. Major-General Bevan Edwards, who presided, recalled that he had inspected tho New Zealand I'orces in 1889, and thero was no finer material for soldiers in tho world. Mr. Myers dealt with finance and defence. Ho justified New Zealand loans on tho ground that' tho money was devoted to reproductive works. Australia, Canada, and Now Zealand should unito to relieve Great Britain of tho defence of tho Pacific.
