The strike is over. following upon tlio receipt of a cable from New Zealand, notifying that the strike had bccii : officially declared off there, tlio Combined Conference of Trades Unions adopted a resolution asking all delegates to inform tiio various unions and branches that the strike- had been ■" declared off by tlio New Zealand Fedora-, tion, and that tlio embargo on New Zealand trade on tlio part of the Australian unionists, was consequently withdrawn. The termination of this protracted strugglo has given satisfaction, which io shared by the bulk of tlio trade unionists. The Union Company advertises that the red funnel boats will resume their normal running. The Mnunganui sails at 3 p.m. to-morrow, and tlio Maheno on Wednesday. Tlio Conference has issued a further appeal to relievo tho distress caused by tho striko. Tronblo over tho unionists resuming work at tho wharves,j-is-not anticipated. , ■'/■-. 1 "
