DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CLERKS' UNION.

Two seafaring men were fined £1, with tho option of fourteen days' imprisonment, for offensive behaviour near tho wharves.- It was stated that they interfered witlr men leaving the Makura after working oil hoard. Delegates from the Clerks' Union, at a meeting of tho Labour, Council tfjnight, reported that- the wharf clerks had decided not to deal' with cargo unless it was carted to tliem .by the Trolr ley and Draymen's Union, whoso members decided recently not to cart stuff for boats trading to New Zealand,Tho Trades' Unionists' Conference has again adjourned, having received no definite information yet from' New' Zealand.
DORSET "PAINTED BLACK," BY MELBOURNE WATERSIDERS. Melbourne, December 18. The Waterside Workers' Federation has declared tho steamer 'Dorset "black." The stevedores consequently refused to work her cargo.
