Tramway men at their meeting failed to lind any solution of tho difficulty that has presented it-pelf in-connection with their proposal to donate £'20.0 from the. union funds to the assistance of the wives and children of the strikers. A legal opinion was obtained, to the effect that a donation of the kind would bo illegal. The question is hardly a burning one with the union, sir. there wore only oishty-niiie members at both meetings, or less than nne-lillh ol the (otil inemltershm.
