■ 4 AN IMPORTANT BALLOT. At the mooting of the Land Board yesterday the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr. T. N. Brodrick) submitted schedules and plan of twenty sections comprising partinns of the Poroporo and Brancepeth Estate, p«rchasod by t.bo Government from Messrs. Stow-Wi®; and Boot ham wspertivoly,. the areas varying from 8 to 1850 acres, and it was resolved to offer tho land for selection on renewable lease, under tho Land for Settlements Aet, and its amendment, about February 20 next, tho sKlc and ballot to be held in Masterton.
