CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW. The Arrangements for the Now Zealand Lawn Tennis Championship meeting at Auckland on December 2(3 to 30 are well in liand, and great interest is being shown in the fixture in the northern city. The entries have oxcccdecl tho expectation of the secretary of tlra association, Mr. A. J. Petherick, and a most successful meeting is cspcctcd. Tbo Auckland Association will hold ii championship and handicap tournament at the conclusion of the New Zealand Championship);. The Auckland Association reports a very large entry, and those Wellington players who intend to compete should send their entry forms in at onco tho Auckland secretary. Miss Hnrtgill, of Dannevirkc, and Miss Traver.s, of Wellington, are isot able to visit Auckland this yea? to compote in the championships, and great interest will eentro in the snooting of Miss Gray and Miss Baird in tho Ladies' Singles. Mr. 11. N. K, Stronston, of Wellington, tbo present holder of the Meii's Singles, will defend his title against such players as Ollivier, Fisher, and Goss.
