CADETS FOR AUCKLAND TOUBNEY
Wellington Collego is entering two teams (of twenty each) in the .Senior Cadet Tournament to be held_ in • the. New Year in conncction with tiie Auckland Exhibition. Each team will be under the control of'a master, in addition' to which thcro will bo a squad captain. The senior squad, under Master E. Luke, is practically the samo which iron first honours at the Easter Tournament in Wellington, and as it has- been in constant practice over since, is expected to acquit itself creditably. _ The commander of the junior sqwi'd is E. Porrit (ono of the cadets who toured Canada last year). The teams will Icavo Wellington on Monday, December 29, by the midday express. The teams liavo been entered for five distinct events —ride, exerciso, physical drill, tent-pitching, and the sports events. Twelve men compriso a team for tlio first two events, and six for the tent-pitching (for which each squad has entered three teams). The senior team will bo represented in the running events by E. Luke, C. Davis, G. Robieson, and 11. Hindmarch: The only expense the boys.aro being put to is to find their own food. Tlio Dol'enco Department are attending to the camp arrangements. The. teams will bo absent for about six days, during which time they will be given access to the Exhibition.
Tlio Y.M.C.A. is also sending a team to the Auckland Exhibition Tournament, under Senior Cadet Petr'ie (who w;ss one of the New Zealand boys to tour Canada last year).
