Abraham aod Williarag, Ltd., report on .their fecond annual cattlo fair, held at Pahiatua on Tuesday, as follows:— An exceptionally heavy yarding of cattle came foriAird, over 400 in excess of advertised numbers, tho total entrv being 1801, of which' number wo sold 1450. Buyers were strongly represented - from, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu, Itengitikoi, and IVairarapa, ooid a, very spirited eale resulted, lhe duality was better than, anticipated, several pens of well-grown- bullocks being offered, and competition was keen for anything showing frame and condition. Messrs. Humphries Br<w., Akitio, topped the market with a pen of 37 fresh-conditioned three* and four-year bullocks of nice quality, the 'purchaser being Mr. Ernest Short at £9 la.
