About a fortnight ago tho Auckland Tramways Union mot to consider tho question of giving financial assistance to watersiders, coal miners, and other in en on strike, and it was then decided that a sum of £200 should ho donated out i)f 'the union's funds. Now it transpires that the £200 cannot be legally handed over to the strikers. The whole pnsition in connection with the grant of the £200 is to be. considered at a meeting of the union to bo called tomorrow.
