SWIFTS DEFEAT OLD BOTS. Tho water polo championship was commenced at Te Aro Baths on Saturday afternoon, when Old Boys (last year's champions) wera met and defeated by Swifts by 3 goals to 2.. . Half-time saw both sidc6 equal with two goals each; Capper 6hooting both Old Boys' goals, while Fordham and Jonkinson secured the points' for Swifts. Swifts' had it 'much their own way ill 'the second' spell, although only successful in netting one > more goal—shot by Moore.
