STEAM SERVICES RE-START ; U.S.S. CO.'S ANNOUNCEMENT. 50M ESYMPTOMS OF THE END. Important announcements hare been made by the Union Company in regard to their Wellington-Lyttelton and Wel-lington-Picton-Nelson sorvices. The Maori will be recommissioned either, to-day or to-morrow, and she will begin her regular run in tho Wcl-lington-Lytteltou service 011 Thursday evening, replacing tho Pattena. It is proposed to run tho Mapourika and Pateenain tho Wellington-Picton-Ncl-son service so as' to cope with the Christmas rush of traffic. Another steamer—tho AraTmra —will be recommissioned about tho latter end of this wcok. _ has- not beon decided, however, in which trade she will be employed. As no boat left Sydney for Wellington last Saturday, it is proposed to recommission tho . Huddart-Parker steamer. Victoria at this port. The vessel will leave Wellington for Sydney at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 19. The Victoria, which has been at anchor in tho stream for tho past week, will bo berthed at the wharf either on Wednesday or Thursday.
