A mail named Owen St ace, a carrier, who resided with his wife and family at 48 Randolph Street, Woolston, committed suicide yesterday morning by 'hanging himself from a tree l'n the Domain, near New Brighton racecourse, Stace, who was GO years of age, left his homo en horseback at 7 o'clock yesterday morning, after telling his wife that ho would bo back in an hour for breakfast. Ho did not return, but liis son, Owen William Stace, when returning homo about -4 o'clock in tho afternoon from shooting, found his father's horse straying oil iho road near the racecourse at Burvroed. The horse ilad 110 bridle on, but was hobbled with a rope. Thinking that the horso had run away, he took charge of it, and rotumed. ■ When the father did not return home last- night the police were informed, and Constable Rowe started to search the Now Brighton Domain, and at 8 o'clock this morning he found Owen's body hanging frwn a tree. ...The suicide was n most doter* mined one.
