' Professor Conkc, Government Astronomer, states that the comet of 1900. which was recently rediscovered, is still faintly visible through the telescope. Sooner or later it will pass very close to the earth, or may actually nin into us. The first chalice of this occurring will bo in October, 1920, henco it is important to ascertain its present movements with a view to providing a basis of reliable prediction regarding its return in 1926.
