At tho annual meeting of the Warigantii. Boxing Association the baiancc-shwi showed a loss on last season of £*HJ. in moving tho adoption of the report ami bfiJaiioo-slioc-t, tnc chairman, Mr. D. Kennedy, said he thought it would bo wise for tho association not to arrange any iurther professional matches for a time, hut to cater for amateurs only, ■Some of the professional matches had not been so satisfactory as could have been desired, while tho amateur contests brought out good form, and had been, popular. The chairman's views were generally endorsed by the other speakers. The election of officers repuitedPresident, Mr. L. Cohen; vicepresidents, Doctors Wall, M, J'larJe, 11. Christie, Messrs. W. Duncan, G. Marshal! ; lion, secretary. Mr. W. S. Corby; hnn. treasurer, Mr. AV. Bakowell. Mr. Vi. L. (Juigley, a former treasurer, who has been transferred to Hastings, was elected a life-member, in appreciation of his services.
