.. MAGAZINES IN SYDNEY. Thousands of subscribers to English and American magazines and trade journals havo boon making inquiries at local booksellers as to what has becomo of their literature, which usually arrives with unvarying regularity. Wo are now well on in December, and most of tho Octobor magazines havo not yet arrived in New Zealand. An inquiry at tho office of Messrs. Gordon and Gotch elicited tho information that, in common-with thousands of tons of transhipments, the magazines havo been held up in Sydney on account of tho striko.
