PETONE COURT.

At a sitting of tho Pctone Court yesterday morning, before Messrs, R, H. Mot-lies and A. Coles, JJ'.'s, C. J. Check and Henry Higginbottom wero charged with using insulting language calculated to provoke a breach of the peace. The offences were alleged to liavo been committed in Jackson Street, Pctone, on November 27, and it was state;! ill tho evidence that the word "scab" used by someone had caused Hie trouble. Tho "case, however, had nothing to do with the strike, and tile polico stated that both accused were respectable working men. The Bench took a lenient view of tho case, and convicted and discharged both accused. A prohibition order was issued against Lawton Little 011 tho application of tho\ police.
