Tho gas so supplied is equal in illuminating and heating effect to all coal gas, but lor proper combustion requires a less volume of air. Consumers having difficulty through tho gas "lighting back'' are therefore advised to reduce the air supply to their cookers other burners, when, the difiiculty will be at onco removed. In cases where consumers aro tillable to make the requisite adjastmcnt they aro requested to communicate without delay either with the Complaints Office (Telephone No. 155) or by postcard, and their requirements will receive prompt attention. The Company further desirc9 to intimate that adcauato provision has been made to maintain an uninterrupted gas supply, but while giving this assurance, they would earnestly solicit the forbearance of consumers in any little inconveniences that may arise from the estra- > ordinary conditions now prevailing.
