The Liberals, also, did not desire to use force, but the abandonment of Home Rule would he worse, and would plunge Ireland back to the days of -coercion. He asked : "Wily hurry the settlement of Ulster? Home llnle will not be enforced until 1915. The Government will keep the door open for settlement by consent until the last- moment."

Mr. Oliver Lockor-Lampson (Unionist member for North Huntingdon) liar, arranged with families in sixty parishes of his constituency for the accommodation of Protestant children in the event of civil war in Ulster. ITo has also raised a hundred men and rifles, and defies Mr. Augustine Rirrell (Chief Secretary for Ireland), his brother-in-law, to prosecute him.
