EAMEN'S MEETING AT DUNEDIN.
| DEVELOPMENTS EXPECTED. (By Tclccraßh.—Press Assoriaiiisn.s Dunedin,,-December 2.-,., Some- f'sOO or 7UO tons were unloaded from tho Turakina to-day, and it is expected that she- will be fully unloaded early next week: About 300 or •100 tons was taken out of tho Dorset, and before the end of tho week she- should be clear of inward cargo. It is estimated that fully ISO Arbitratiouists will be working on the wharves to-morrow. , At a meeting of tho Waterside Workers' Union this Afternoon tho present six members of tho Strike Committee asked to be allowed to resign. This action was voluntarily taken by tho committee, as an act-of good faith to the bondsmen. The resignations were accepted and a new Strike- Committee was appointed. ' Messrs. Maekie and Jack, representing the Auckland Branch of tho Seamen's Union, and Messrs. .T. Baker and •!. Shepherd, Wellington delegates, arrived by the recond express from the north to-night. To-morrow thoy will attend a meeting of ncniiien at present in Dunedin, when some important developments are expected. There arc fully '100 seamen in Dunedin. Some 60 local and country "specials" returned home yesterday from the cinip at Tahuna Park, it being dccincd that their services are no longer required. Over 100 men are still in camp.
