A BANQUET.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, December 1. At a banquet to-night his Excellency {fie Governor, visiting Parliamentarians, mayors, and representatives of local bodies, and tho Panama _ Exposition Commissioners were entertained by tlio City Council. The proceedings were of tho most cordial description, and excellent speeches wero made by his Excellency tho Governor, the Prime Minister, Sir Josepli Ward, and tho Mayors of Auckland, Christchurch, and "Wellington, and by Governor Alva Adams, Panama Commissioner, and others.
