There was ;i full bench of buyers, and competition was keen, at reduced limits. Buyers' limits did not. ooino lip to vendors' ideas of value, and in consequence a. largo quantity was passed. The quality of the wool is not as good as last year, bcinjt; heavier m grease, and shorter in staple. There was an all-round drop in prices of a halfpenny to twopence farhting, compared with tJio values at the December sale last year. The range of prices was: — Kest lialt'brod, lUd. to 13-Jd.; inedium lialt'brod, lO.id. to Ud.; lino crossbred, lOd. io llid.; medium crossbred, !)d. to lOid.; coarse crossbred, Bd. to lOd.; inferior, 7UI. to 8-Jd.; pieces, Ojjd. to 9{d.; bellies, GJd. to 7}d.; locks, 4.} d. to old.: lambs, Sid. to lOijd.; dead, to "Jd.:
