REVOLUTION OR REFORM

Sir,—Long before the next general elections take placo it will be bv all that tho present unioitui.tito strike has been a blessing m Recent events have proved that tli, "so-called Liberal, Labour, and Socialistic" elements are now fused into one bodv, consequently there will oiil.t two political parties to Do M'lS'devodtlie "Revolution .and the Lero.in. Tho unfathomable suli that divides these two parties will admit _ ot no "half-wav" houses, and no tigh»r«p« walker will bo allowed to exercise his art in deceiving the electors as ti which he belongs. Every ca"' l tho next p;onor»l <*lociinns will Jiats definitely 'declare himself in liivo "]' n ;!: the one side or the other smc I he] will be no half measures, and there be no acceptances ol plausiulo «oulj explanations why they cannot give a direct Yes or No to the simple nuejstion: Are you in favour of Revolution, or Are you in favour of Relorm.^ Hansard's corrected reports of certain speeches will not bo accepted against oral evidence and past actions. As .lie late Government has laid down the precedent. that "a politician is justified in sailing close to the wind in. the matter of facts and promises when encteivourillg to IjeUcliL liiitti.rlf,' 1 Mlbl!'.'. ilUftl'lirctatioiig wid ostrsordiunry. assertions

will no doubt bo tho main feature at our nest general elections. The Opposition bcnches aro largely occupied by men very similar in many respects to tho present leaders of the Lalmur-Socinlists and anarchists now on strike. For years past these political orators have hypnotised tlio confiding workers, and despite tho innumerable times they have deceived and victimised thom these, working men have still believed iu their leaders., lint now, like those strikers hanging about pur wharves, ihev aro at last awakening to the fact that they are hut "pawns" in the hands of their wily self-seeking members. Tho prolix "Liberal" at the next general elections will bo regarded by the now awakening worker sis is the term "scab" at tho present moment, and when these members who havo recently shown -such keen sympathy with tho Socialists and anarchists arc nt the hustings endeavouring with their oily tongues and accustomed sophistries to explain away their prosc-nt traitorous actions they will find that it is of no avail. Undoubtedly they will assure their hearers that they aro dead against revolution, that thev represent the lawabiding workers, that they aro out and out Liberals, etc., etc., etc. As beforo explained, Labour, Liberalism, Socialism. and anarchism arc now practically 0110 conglomerate party. Therefore, the general public will understand tho exact components of the Liberal party, and why it should bo necessary in future to term the Opposition the "Revolution," and to spell the word Liberal in large Ietters—REVOLUTION. —I am, A SPADE, A SPADE.'
