At a meeting of farmers and settlers held yesterday the following resolution was passed: "This large and representative gathering of settlers and olliers records its strongest protest against the absurd and wasteful tactics of the Opposition party in Parliament during the present session which, in our opinion, are only used by the Opposition for Ihe purpose of obstructing and delaying the passage of important and necessary reforms, and we further think that such tactics have a tendency to lower the dignity and prestige of Parliament, and we particularly deplore such tactics a! a time when our country U passing through such an industrial crisis as at j present."
