SUMMARY AND FOEECAST. Present indications ate tor high and squally west to south-westerly wines, colder weather, with heavy showers generally, and snow on higher levels in "the south. The barometer rising everywhere soon, but only temporarily in the south, for another extensive area of low pressure appears to be approaching. The storm area, which has prevailed most of the week, has been very energetic in many parts of the country during the post 24 hours, and still shows little signs of abatement. ' 1). C. .BATES.
