The prosecution withdrew Mr. Shorlantl, manager for tlio Cloment-Talbol Company, from the witness-box for the present, Shorland stating that if would take several months to investigate and answer complicated questions accurately. It has been arranged that future witnesses shall 'be supplied with writfen questions, and asked to reply in writing. Messrs. Owens and Furmedgo. Melbourne Customs officers, gave evidence regarding documents discovered isi Australia. Tlio further bearing was adjourned till December I.
