PROGRESS OP MOTOR-CAR CASE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, November 23. Ralph Milbuns, Walter John Kcmsley, Edward William Idle, Bruce Anthony Cutliliertson, and Alfred Edward Koinsley, were charged on remand with conspiring with Raymond Ewart RemsIry, William Crowle, Cecil Thomas Bray, Charles Brown Kellow, Isaac Phizackerley, and others, to defraud His Majesty's Customs of duty on motor-ears, cycles, tires, and accessories imported into Australia by means of false, invoices and declarations, between January. 1900, and June, 1010. The prosecution withdrew Mr. Shorlantl, manager for tlio Cloment-Talbol Company, from the witness-box for the present, Shorland stating that if would take several months to investigate and answer complicated questions accurately. It has been arranged that future witnesses shall 'be supplied with writfen questions, and asked to reply in writing. Messrs. Owens and Furmedgo. Melbourne Customs officers, gave evidence regarding documents discovered isi Australia. Tlio further bearing was adjourned till December I.
