The Aeronautical Association have persuaded tho proprietor of gasometers!, warehouses, and other large buildings to paint signs on their roofs, • as_ a guido to airmen in cross-country flights. The French Minister for War, however, is urging the societies to cease covering Franco with these aerial signposts, on the ground that they would bo useful to an enemy.

Ho proposes to continue on to Constantinople, and, it. is possible, will then proceed to Lake Chad, or Australia, via Ceylon. A THRILLING DESCENT. Paris, November 25. M. Rosfc, tho aviator, fell 1000 feet at Etampos. His machine somersaulted twenty, times, but ho regained control wheii it was near tho ground, and landed safely. RECORD FOR AIRWOMEN. Paris, November 25. Baroness de la Roche has put up a H'W women's record by flying 203 miles. A DARING FLIGHT. London, November 25. At Hendon, Lee Temple, aged twentyone years, ascended to a height of 5000 ft., and dived 1000 ft., being six seconds on his back.
