SOME PROPAGANDA EFFORTS. .A sub-cnminittce, including ddegatc:: from tho New Zealand Olympic Council and N.Z.A.A. Association, which have in hand the arrangement of a lecturing tour by' Major Peixotto, manager of the American amateur athletic team, met at the Sports Club Rooms on Tuesday, Mr. J. H. Pollock presiding.
Tho secretary (Mr. J. Hcenan) reporf«l that replies favonrinc tho scheme had been received from the Hon.' the Minister of Educatidn, tho Otago and Canterbury Centres, the principals of the Waiu'anui, Nelson, Palmerstcn North and Mastort6u High Schools, and a number of athletic clubs. They approved tho suggestion of lectures and offered to make provision for such, provided that suitable dates could be arranged. H. Pollock, A. C. Kitto, Len,. M'Kay, and J. Tl'eenan ivern selected to discuss matters with tho Americans, and obseive their modes of training ivilh the view of imparting tho knowledge so obtained by pamphlet or lectures tn active members of local amateur ("tlilotic bodies. Arrangements are also boinr! made to obtain kinem-itopji-aph films ol tbe Americans in action.
