THEIR SUPERANNUATION FUNDS. Tho superannuation funds to which hunk clerks nro compulsory contributors Imvo received a little attention of lato from the hieniber for Egniont, ilr. C. A. Wilkinson. Some days ago ho ndcliesscd tho following question to tho Government: "Whether they will tako into favourable consideration, tho question of legislating in the direction of placing bank employees' superannuation funds on a sound and satisfactory basis?" Lar;;o sums are contributed by bank employees, bo stated, and in many cases when they leave the hanks' employ they forfeit the whole of the amount so contributed. The Hon. ,1. Allen (Minister or Finance.) replied yesterday as follows:— "The provision for superannuation funds for bank employees is a matter for arrangement between tin* various banks and their employees. [ will, however, ascertain what provision is being made in this respect."
