ST. JOHN'S ANNIVERSARY.
St. Jolm's Church', Willis Street, commemorates its sixtieth anniversary at its services oil Sunday next, November 30, and b ya, series of meetings on tho thrco following evenings. On.Sunday morning the Rev. A. Cameron, B.AI, Moderator of the General Assembly, will preach the sermon, and tho Communion will bo ( dispensed by the Rev. James Patcrson (a former minister) and Dr. Gibb. In tho afternoon a young people's, service will'bo conducted by Mr. Cameron, and in tho evening Mr. Cameron will conduct the devotions, and tho sermon will bo preached by Dr. Gibb. The choir will sing special musio a't all services, including the To Deum and Hallelujah Chorus. A printed order of service ha.? been prepared for the occasion, and will bo distributed to worshippers. The congregation lias been appealed to to wipe out tho debt on tho church property by the collection on this occasion. On Monday ovoning a meeting will be held in 'the church at 8 o'clock,' at which, special music will be rendered by tho choir, and brief addresses will bo given by various speakers.
On Tuesday evening a conversazione and soeial reunion will be held in tho Town Hal! at 8 o'clock. Two or threo congratulatory speeches will bo delivered, and a number of well-known singers kikl entertainers, whoso names will bo found in the advertising columns, bavo promised their services. On Wednesday evening a young people's rally will be lipid in the Church Hall, at 7.30 o'clock. An illustrated history of tho church lias been prepared for distribution among members and adherents, and extra copies may bo purchased at a small cost.
