METHODIST SUPPORT. 1 At the Annual Synod of the Southland District of the Methodist- Church, the following resolution was passed:— "That this Synod heartily ciidorsos tho attitude of tiio last conferoneo towards the demand for tho introduction of Jiiblo teaching in our national schools, cordially commends the platform of thn Bible-iii-Seliools League to our people, and urges the recognition of DwomW 14 as Hible-in-Schools Sunday." The following resolution was passed last week by the Annual Synod of tho North Canterbury District- of tho Methodist Church: —"That this Synod oxpresses its continued support of the platform of the lisble-in-Sclwols League, records its confidence in Canon Garland as organising secretary of tho league, and commeiuls tho work of thn league to tho memliers of our Church throughout tho district. In view of December 14. having been adopted as 'Leaguo Sunday,' the Synod urges that lea giro sermons be preaclsed as far as possible in all our churches on that date, in accordance with tho request of tho president, and that au opiwrtimity bo afforded for receiving offerings ou behalf "f the league's fuiids.' 4
