DELAY OF OVER THREE HOURS The Main Trunk train, .wlaieli was doe to arrive at Wellington at 4.1.2 p.m. yesterday, ditl not roach Thorndoil Station until 7.30 p.m. The delay occurred .through the derailment of a \Yaiknto train at. Penrose Junction about 7.80 p.m. oti Monday evening, and the Wellington express which should have loft Auckland at 0.13 p.m. did not got. way until 3AS a.m.—over 4\ hours late. The interlocking gear at Penrose —which is just outside Auckland City—was considerably damaged, and great difficulty was experienced in clearing the lino. There was a- further delay of 32 minutes at Ellorstie, and when the train reached Ohakune it was still hours late, leaving that station at 11.53 a.m. yesterday, instead of 7.25. There were numerous stops at umnstiat stations, in order to allow local trains to pass. Ah lwur was made, up on the tun from Obakuae to Wellington,
